What if a story could take your child on a journey through Africa’s music and culture?

Learn African History with Kah, winner of the 2025 Cameroon Youth Award for Arts and Literature, is a children’s book series created to introduce young readers to Africa’s history and cultures. Through engaging storytelling, the series brings Africa’s untold stories to the next generation. Drawing inspiration from African mythology, traditions, and historical narratives, the stories transform legends and cultural knowledge into adventures that are fun to read and memorable for children.

The first book in the series explores ten African musical instruments every child should know. Music is an integral part of African culture and community life, yet many traditional instruments remain little known to younger generations. This inspired the author to create a story that introduces children to the continent’s rich musical heritage through the journey of a young girl named Kah.
